What
is AMB Chip Timing?
Run Wild Racing uses chip timing technology from a company called AMB i.t.
US. OVERALL, it is an accurate and timely way to score and time running
events that is approved by the USATF. |
How
does the Chip record times?
The chip
itself does NOT record your times, but acts a trigger for the antenna wires
on the course and on the start / finish line. Basically, it use Radio Frequencys
and antennas. |
Do
I have to wear the AMB Chip?
Run Wild Racing has a policy that if you want to be accurately timed, scored,
and included in the awards, you must wear the chip. No Chip, no times or
awards... |
Do
I have to wear the AMB around my ankle?
Yes, because the signal needs to be as close the ground as possible. It
MAY NOT pick up your chip if you wear if on your wrist or in your hand. |
Does
Run Wild wash the ankle straps after each race?
Yes, the bands or straps are soaked in gentle disinfectant after each event,
rinsed thoughly and hung to dry before the next event. |
Is
the Run Wild online registration secure?
Yes, Run Wild Racing uses the latest security measures and tools through
Authorize.net's secure server. |
Why
did Run Wild Racing stop using Signmeupsports.com for online registration?
Each time a participant registered for a Run Wild event, they were charged
an extra 5% to 6% for a processing fee. Run Wild now pays the credit card
fee with our own online credit card processing instead of charging the participants. |
What
if I do not want the gift certificate that I won at a Run Wild event?
Return the gift certificate to Run Wild Racing, Inc. at P.O. Box 3239 Westerville
Ohio 43086 and we will order you a trophy (Allow 4 to 6 weeks) |
Why
does Run Wild Racing offer gift certificates at events?
Run Wild Racing gathered feedback from participants and awards like trophies,
plaques, and medals just seemed to be old and not useful. |
What
is a RWR ID#?
Run Wild Racing has created a concept called a Run Wild Racer ID. Once a
person does a Run Wild event for the first time, we issue you a card with
your PERMANENT Run Wild Racer ID number. The next time you want to register
for an event with us, all you need to do is give us your RWR ID #, sign
the waiver, and submit a payment. Online registration simplicity to follow
in 2005. Also, we are trying to tie in discounts to local businesses. |
What
if I did not get my Run Wild Racer ID card?
Please send and e-mail to Doug Grout
and we will get a new one issued to you. |
Will
my RWR ID # always be the same?
Yes, it will be a permanent number for you with regards to Run Wild Racing
events. |
Why
is the race day registration fee more?
Because we have more overhead and manpower requirements in order to allow
for the efficent process to take place on race day and get the event started
ontime. NOTE: We prefer to have people pre-register because if provides
less chaos and better shirt counts to everyone gets their size. |
Where
do I get an entry form?
Run Wild mails them out to our active participant list, places them
at local health & fitness locations, and Running speciality stores, and
you can download them in pdf format off of each individual race page. NOTE:
You can also register online. |
Can
I use a Credit Card to pay for the race at FrontRunner?
Yes, Run Wild Racing has our own credit card processing machine at FrontRunner,
so you can use you Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and check
cards. |
